Les Jeudi 27 et Dimanche 30 Septembre 2018, le COQUELICOT 42 Athlétisme a participé à la collecte de don au profit du Bleuet de France, en partenariat avec l’OFFICE NATIONAL DES ANCIENS COMBATTANTS ET VICTIMES DE GUERRE (ONACVG).

L’œuvre Nationale du Bleuet de France (ONBF) est une œuvre caritative dont l’ONACVG assure la gestion depuis 1991.

Les fonds collectés participent à :

. l’amélioration du quotidien des anciens combattants, Pupilles de la Nation, victimes de guerre et d’actes terroriste.

. L’éveil de la conscience citoyenne des jeunes générations et le rappel de leur devoir de mémoire.

Plus de 600 manifestations mémorielles à caractère culturel et pédagogiques sont portées chaque année par l’ONACVG.

Pour la saison sportive 2018-2019, l’ONACVG a labellisé du Bleuet de France, le COQUELICOT 42 Athlétisme qui sera le seul club de sport français à présenter sur son maillot les deux fleurs symboles du Souvenir des combattants tombés lors de la Première Guerre Mondiale :

Le Bleuet pour les soldats français et le coquelicot pour les soldats des pays Anglo-Saxons, auquel s’ajoute la marguerite pour les Belges.

Cet honneur est rendu en raison de la création du club le 12.09.1919 par 3 ‘’Poilus’’ stéphanois tout juste démobilisés au sortir de la Première Guerre Mondiale et qui ont souhaité rendre hommage aux soldats Anglo-Saxons venus combattre aux côtés des ‘’Poilus’’ en dénommant l’association CLUB ATHLETIQUE DU COQUELICOT.

On September 27 and 30, 2018, the Coquelicot 42 Athletics participated in the donation collection for the benefit of the ‘’Bleuet de France’’, in partnership with the NATIONAL OFFICE OF VETERANS COMBATANTS AND VICTIMS OF WAR (ONACVG).

The Work National Bleuet of France (ONBF) is a charitable organization whose ONACVG has been managing since 1991.
The funds collected participate in:
. improving the daily lives of Veterans, Pupils of the Nation, victims of war and of terrorist acts.
. The awakening of the citizen conscience of the younger generations and the reminder of their duty to remember.

More than 600 cultural and educational memorial events are presented each year by the ONACVG.

For the 2018-2019 sports season, the ONACVG has labeled ‘’Bleuet de France’’, the Coquelicot 42 Athletics which will be the only French sports club to present on its jersey the two flowers symbols of the Remembrance of the fallen fighters during the World War I :
Cornflower for the French soldiers and the poppy for the soldiers of the Anglo-Saxon countries, to which is added the daisy for the Belgians.

This honor is given because of the creation of the club on September 12, 1919 by 3 '' Poilus’’ of the SAINT ÉTIENNE City, just demobilized at the end of the World War I and who wished to pay tribute to the Anglo-Saxon soldiers who came to fight alongside the ‘’Poilus’’ by naming the association Athletics Club of Coquelicot.
